WELCOME to the United Kingdom Hydrographic Office (UKHO) website. The UKHO has been charting the world's oceans for over 200 years. Our primary activity, as a Government Trading Fund and part of the Ministry of Defence, is the provision of navigational products and services to the Royal Navy and merchant marine in compliance with Safety Of Life At Sea (SOLAS) regulations.

The UKHO is the power behind the world-renowned Admiralty brand of products and services. The Admiralty portfolio includes 3,300 Standard Navigational Charts and 220 Navigational Publications. There are also a growing range of digital products and services.

UK AND USA AGREE PARTNERSHIP TO PRODUCE
WORLD-RENOWNED ALMANACS
Team work, which has resulted in the production of such flagship publications as The Astronomical Almanac and The Nautical Almanac, has been formalised.

A Memorandum of Unerstanding (MoU) has been agreed between the United Kingdom Hydrographic Office (UKHO) and the United States Naval Meterology and Oceanography Command to ensure the partnership continues working successfully into the future.

ECDIS TODAY: TALKING NAVIGATION - ISSUE 20
This will be the last issue of the UKHO's external magazine ECDIS Today. The publication focuses on news, views and reviews surrounding safe and efficient navigation at sea, and is now available online.

In the future we will be producing a quarterly online newsletter, to keep you informed of the latest industry news and Admiralty product information. Existing subscribers will be sent a trial copy of the e-newsletter when it is published in early September.
